This is the year 2010!!! Didn't we evolve at all??? Who cares about color anymore except the truly ignorant black white mixed together spells love- respect-goodness Remember that song "Louie " "makes no difference if your black or white-brother ya know what I mean"  I personally think its a social construct that causes a psychological block. We see ourselves as part of a particular group, whether it be american, black, white, female, and we ASSOCIATE with that particular group and their struggles and make them our own. We naturally become drawn to those we feel will understand our struggle and we get 'turned off' by those we feel cannot relate to it. I understand the tendency for people to date within a race, I think its kind of an extinuation of their own self approval. What is sad to me is people who REFUSE to date within their race, I kind of see it as a form of self disapproval. ...but thats just me. |

I don't really see it that way
well may be for some within a specific race but maybe that's what they are attracted to-and it happens to be a different race ya know why is it that when a black man dates only white women alot of black women yell their going against their race or a black girl with a white man or a white girl who only likes black men or a white man who only likes black women? This is what they are attracted to!! We don't get upset like that over lovers of blonde/blue eyes brunette/brown eyes heavy/skinny etc I just don't understand really. Maybe cause I grew up with such beautiful diversity surrounding me colors mingled with colors religions with religions acceptance came easy!! |

I just dont get that |

I respect your way of thinking but I don't understand it I guess you would consider white people " my people"(?) but if a white man ONLY dates black women I inno way feel he is " abandoning" our race even though the "white man " took care of me we just think different I guess I love you we are both Gods children no matter what color!!
