I personally think its a social construct that causes a psychological block. We see ourselves as part of a particular group, whether it be american, black, white, female, and we ASSOCIATE with that particular group and their struggles and make them our own. We naturally become drawn to those we feel will understand our struggle and we get 'turned off' by those we feel cannot relate to it.

I understand the tendency for people to date within a race, I think its kind of an extinuation of their own self approval. What is sad to me is people who REFUSE to date within their race, I kind of see it as a form of self disapproval. ...but thats just me.

why is it that when a black man dates only white women alot of black women yell their going against their race

or a black girl with a white man
or a white girl who only likes black men
or a white man who only likes black women?

brunette/brown eyes
heavy/skinny

I just don't understand really. Maybe cause I grew up with such beautiful diversity surrounding me

yeah, people including others is not a problem for me,, black people dating white people , or vice versa,, or any other combination is natural in my opinion,,,,my only issue is with those who refuse to date anyone of the 'same race' as them,,,and its not so much my issue as my concern,,,,,it screams of self hatred to me

how could I not find attractive the physical traits of those who have loved me all my life, and physical traits I have myself..?
