Topic: Professor's 13 Keys Predict Obama Will Get Re-Elected | |
---|---|
Regarding Key 2: Is there anyone that can/will run against him who actually might have a chance? Enlighten me, I haven`t been up to date. I really think that McCain threw the race when he chose Palin to be his running mate,,,,I think he may have known that even if he won, he wouldn`t win (because the state of things).....just my opinion. I think Gingrich, Romney, and Palin are all spoken of as potential candidates. They have pretty large base of followers. I dont see how Palin could win a debate against OBama,,but thats just my opinion. Romney and Gingrich have more of the experience to spar with OBama but will they have better ideas and will their political histories hold up to the scrutiny? Tea Party could do alot to take away what would have been republican votes so that is a plus for the democrats,, but only time will tell how it plays out... |

We are better off than in 2008, that is correct. Using WHICH metrics to measure said 'better off than' ... ? exactly, using what metrics,, mine will be different than those with the opinion that things are worse because numbers can be manipulated to support all types of views I posted my metric already,, compared to the month of november in 2008(when obama won the election) during that month 533,000 jobs were lost this month 133,000 jobs were lost that is improving,,, Increasing the debt by 3 trillion isn't improving anything. It's creating another bubble that is going to burst when they can't sell bonds or print money without creating massive inflation. your opinion, if I am working and able to support my family, I dont really think about the governments debt so much,,,,I realize its importance, but I dont so much cast my vote on assumptions of what will happen in the future as much as I do by evidence of what is happening in the present compared to the past This isn't just my opinion it is basic economics. I don't expect anything to change your opinion of Obama.. |

'increasing the debt isnt improving ANYTHING' is a pretty vast generalization and definitely falls in the category of opinion and we agree, I already stated that anti obama and pro obama citizens arent going to change their minds in these forums |

Deficit spending used to buy nothing but time is not a good idea for a business.. Very basic economics.. $3 trillion in deficit spending to buy time.. Not good... When your services are cut and you are paying a much higher tax rate, you can thank the deficit spending.. That will invade into your daily life, but it will be too late to care about the governments spending.. |

I would like to see Obama get 8 years to do what he dreams of doing.
He does care for this country and the people. |

I can only deal with what I see happening in the here and now. I appreciate 'trends' but they arent absolutes either and a president has a limited time to correct or improve situations that have built up over the history of the government and are influenced by numerous factors outside of his 'control'. |

Trends might not be absolute, but when you look at past recessions and the depression the precursors were all the same. |
