Oakland's police chief is making some dire claims about what his force will and will not respond to if layoffs go as planned.

Chief Anthony Batts listed exactly 44 situations that his officers will no longer respond to and they include grand theft, burglary, car wrecks, identity theft and vandalism. He says if you live and Oakland and one of the above happens to you, you need to let police know on-line.

Some 80 officers were to be let go at midnight last night if a last-minute deal was not reached. That's about ten percent of the work force.

"I came her e to build an organization, not downsize one," said Batts, who was given the top job in October.

Time to let them all go. and start over again.

I got a new motto for the city ... "Need Help? - Call A Democrat" ... works for me ...

That was a dumb idea for the police to make that statement.Every criminal in California is going to be flocking there to steal cars and rob houses.Glad I am not living there.I would be boarding up my windows.

Where is the Duke when you need him?

Well, considering I had the local sheriff once tell me that "Well, you live too far out for us to do anything about it and besides, where you are you're just looking to get robbed." I have an answer to that question.

I told the sheriff, "If you don't come when I call, don't bother coming out here at all. I'll just consider you an armed trespasser."

You're better off not calling the cops anyway. They generally just make things worse.

I love the crap where if you shoot an intruder and they get outside and die you automatically are a murderer. We are tied down by all these rules of engagement while criminals get to do whatever they want. Worst is some cops ARE criminals too! At least in Oregon if you post your property every 50 feet "NO Trespassing, Violators will be shot," so if they fall dead just outside of your house the local PD will compliment you on your shooting even if you shot them in the back!

Here in LA I maintain a sword in my house. I wonder what the cops here would say if I carved up an intruder to my house instead of shoot him. All I would have to say is, "get this dead azzhole out of here," followed by "no you are not nailing me with a discharging a firearm in city limits either!"

Get this, You shoot someone justifiably they try to charge you for actually shooting gun in city limits here! Talk about a bunch of stupid jack offs!

I hope criminals start picking on Liberals and Anti Gunners for a change! Let us hear the cries of 'someone save us!' as we reply, "save yourself azzhole! You were the one trying to take our rights to self defense away!"
