Soooooo agree ... BE CAREFUL who ya tell!!! I've got it in my aura ... Folks 'feel' the therapist and begin to tell, as it really is safe w/ me ... In England? They are SO reared in the 'speak only when spoken to' and 'children should be seen, not heard' modus operandi? That many of them were floored that I urged them to speak so openly, and how deeply I'd probe ... Almost as if to look around and see if their parent might reprimand them ... When they were paying to see me and it was THEIR TURN - FINALLY!!! Opening up was half their battle towards recovery of whatever issues/symptoms they came in presenting ... HIGH success rate! Talk therapy is invaluably important!!! |
