War is one way the administration can claim jobs saved and created.

Sad, but a truth.

Big bucks in bullets, bombs, coffins, and body-bags.

Indeed, war is the world's oldest and stupidest stimulus program.

Mostly, unless your dead, you can't get the good medals anyways.

I know, for sure, you don't get a free flag unless you're dead. And only when a box of remains is in da' ground.

lame ad hominem. I think you are more deserving of being committed and medicated, ya dingy warmonger. tongue2 laugh Try reading his books and essays instead, and you'll see his arguments are sound. Perhaps you are unaware that RP's views are similar to Thomas Jefferson's and Patrick Henry's? But this is to be expected from "Boobus Americanus", as Schaffer would say.

War is wasted lives, time and money.

And since the freedoms everyone hollers about being attained in war are subjective to who gets to decide who gets the freedoms, there are really no freedoms attained.

Well $hit happens right? So we were supposed to let Bin Laden and the Taliban conduct business as usual and continue with the terrorist training camps and terrorist attacks on US soil?

The Democrats have been in full power for over 4 years now. They will soon have more time supporting the war then Bush or the Republicans ever had.Obama's withdrawl plan is the same one that Bush talked about in 2008 from this article.

http://www.smh.com.au/news/world/us-to-exit-iraq-in-2011/2008/08/22/1219262526938.html

NEGOTIATORS have concluded a deal which will see the complete withdrawal of US troops from Iraq by 2011, ending an eight-year occupation, the top Iraqi heading the team said yesterday.

Under the 27-point deal, all US combat troops will be withdrawn from Iraqi cities by next June, the negotiator, Mohammed al-Haj Hammoud, said.

The agreement had already been approved by the US President, George Bush, and now needed to be endorsed by Iraqi leaders, he added.

Baghdad and Washington had agreed to "withdraw the US troops from Iraq by end of 2011", Mr Hammoud said.

Considering the US government sponsored Bin Laden in his war against the Soviets, maybe it's about time the dumbazz government learned to stop meddling abroad and incurring blowback (like 9/11). As I've explained and RP has explained, the proper way to handle the issue was to declare war or issue letters of Marque and Reprisal. What about this do you not understand?

The USA has been in war since WWII with little breaks here and there. And none of the wars it was fighting made a damn difference, only the weapon dealers pocket got lined with billions. This is no different whatsoever, the problem is, that the USA needs an enemy like the desert needs water. If there isn't any available it will make some or invent them.

If Osama Bin Laden or Al-Quada wouldn't exist, it would be invented. And of course, they used to be US "allies" during the cold war. Watch Rambo III if nothing else helps to remind about it.

Also ..yeah that's Rumsfeld in 1983 with US's great "ally" Saddam Hussein.
