Being in the mountains, it's my sanctuary..and when I'm at my best. My connection to nature is powerful and "un natural" to some. Being in balance with the planet...

It's amazing when I sit up there and meditate and a critter will come by and not even notice me...there is no fear. That's when I'm knowing I have 'become one with "nature".

what does at "one with nature" mean? whether we believe it or not, we are and always have been part of nature...

At one with nature......to 'become' a part of it...to be able to ackowledge the intricacies of every aspect of your surroundings...from the bacteria and earthworms in the soil, to the rotting leaves making new soil, to the trees and the bugs, birds critters that live on them, to the oxygen they produce, the breeze that cools the air, the clouds that bring welcome rain, the nitrogen so necessary to the earth from the rain...

and so on and so on...the infinite and the necessary...the silent happenings that sustain our existance...

one tiny aspect of the all..

when that moment comes rushing at you and you can FEEL the interconnectedness of everything...that's connected to the infinite.

Yes I was serious. I am working on achieving inner peace right now. I am not sure it comes from nature though but rather a strenght within myself.

If outer peace refers to the environment we live in then I guess that is almost a hopeless task.

Inner peace is an acceptance of yourself, your personal limitations, your flaws...and as an onflow the limitations and flaws of all that are around you, people, situations, circumstances...it's not difficut to acheive...simply ACCEPTING and letting go...of the detritus of everyday life.

get connected to the infinite? I was just reading and came upon that phrase and thought...isn't that where we all strive for?
Those few moments- when it all comes together? What actually does that for you?

I now always feel connected. Through meditation, nature and my spirituality I found the initial connection I was searching for. At first I could only get that at certain times, but eventually it became a part of my every moment.

In todays world, thats diffiult to do. It comes and goes for me, actually when having to face the world, i put it on the shelf but it's there. Working or being with people- it's the only anchor for me.

I forget who wrote this, but they sid the true connection is when you can take it everwhere with you. Like monks who go off in seclusion to mediatate, would they be able to do it in the real world of everyday stress?

I think everyone gets to figure that part out for themselves, that's the fun part, figuring out what helps each find that "it". I personally believe that because we are ALL one and we are ALL made up of the earth and the stuff of stars..that a cosmic/earth connection is powerful.

Is much like "God" for some.

Being at peace with the state of the world is a daunting task...I'm a "flow with the universe" kinda gal, so I just stay as positive as I can. Keep the love and good vibes flowing..

And "they" wonder why I spend all my time up the mountain....

I feel inner peace when I am absorbed in what I'm doing. sometimes chaos when i don't know what to do next. Must have basic unmet needs or something...

Connected to the infinite, the I AM, the creator, God, Whom Ever you call it. It's not in religion, it's personal for each, yet when attained, the same. The knowing, awe, complete understanding. To be put into words will not give it credence, as their are no words. Is that any better? Some of you Know.

I'm not part of any "religion", I do have what would be considered religious practices I do. One being my monthly full moon fires...

My spiritual practice is powerful, I had to dump my childhood religion to find it...and I experience the "awe" everyday. I'm quite sure I don't have a complete understanding, someday perhaps...

its a regular daily if not hourly activity ... Zen ...
useful in all activities

especially noticable when playing music or golf or doing artistic activities ...
often recognized in meanial tasks like cleaning or cooking or eating

I think even the people who go ... huh?? partake ...
they just don't recognize those moments so they don't consciously connect but it does not mean they do not connect.

Perhpas it becomes easier attained by spending time alone. People today are too much in this world, and it has it's drawbacks. Am knowing that it does take time to recognize it, and work to acheive it more consistantly until it flows. Negative emotions disrupt it's flow, as stress and other worldly distractions. One of the main reasons people meditate and do yopga is to learn how to slow down so they can grasp what is there and then actively work on themselves to continue it's momentum and be receptive to it.

I would say a number of things do that for me... sitting outside in the cool morning air and just listening to the world around me, incredibly fast driving on wide open roads, sex, and just meditating at random times (I do this whenever I feel the need, I just occasionally check out from the world and get lost within the connection).
