do you look at their pictures? Read their profile? Only look at the main picture, then everything else after they've replied?

Usually, I get the message, read it, look at their profile [the whole thing] and then reply. But that's just me.

Look at the picture, read the profile, then if there's something to go on, I'll mail.

See their post in a forum, check out profile to see where they live, then if they live close read profile to see it I fit their criteria, email or move on.

I go mainly by the pics. But, I do scan the profile some. I really try to make it as much like meeting someone face to face. "Hi! I'm TS. What's your name?" Profiles don't really mean anything anyway. They could be lying.

I have not found anyone in a long time that I felt the need to email. I guess I do not fit anyones criteria. If I remember correctly, the last guy I emailed first was Robin in Texas, because we had the same name.

What brought this question on was someone had emailed me, apparently based on my profile picture alone. Then emailed me back to say he had then looked at the rest of my pictures and I was not his type. So, it made me wonder how many others actually do that.

Ah, ok. I email people a lot either based on something they've said or something that's in their profile. But, even if it's based on something they've said, I check out their profile first to find out a bit more about them.

Ok, we all know and this has been said many times. Attraction plays a big part. So Pic first, then ill read the profile. If they seem to be interesting then ill email them. But just because a pic looks good, it don't mean a thing to me. Other words. Some women are very attractive, but the min they open there mouth, well some of them. I lose the attraction. This might sound rude to some women, but it gets old running into women that don't know how to have a conversation and don't know anything about life.

Well, the main pic will be what gets my attention. However, if they post in the forums, and I find what they post to be funny, insightful and well written, then I will also check the profile out to know what they had to say about who they are. If I am still intrigued, I might send a nudge. Or, if I see something in the profile that catches my eye, I will shoot them an email.

I was a tad interested. Sent the first email. So far so good.
