When I try to watch you tube videos. Or for that matter, ANY videos online, they load slowly and then when they begin playback, only play for a split second, start loading again, start again for a second or so.
They keep doing this all the time.
A 3 minute video at this rate takes about 25 - 30 minutes to actually run.
What can I do to rectify this?

Clear your internet cache

Go to start
Click Run
Enter cmd in the text field, then enter
Itll open DOS command area, this is easiest way to clear your cache.
You type format c:\ c standing for cache. It will clear your cache, and after its done youre good to view again.

Next time seek a computer/tech answer for a problem like this in the technology forum.

whaty kind of internet connection do you have?

first test your internet connection speed... google searcg internet speed test, there are lots of them.

2. update your webstream player... I like Realplayer because it allows you to download videos.

3. there might be something else running in the backround.

4 run a virus/adware scan.

5. delete you cache.

6. try using different web brower such as Navigator, Chrome, firfox etc...and see if you still have the same problem.

good luck

Moving you to computers and tech, Tom. I don't have time to help you with this right now, but the above suggestions are a good start.

Your doing good if it only takes 25 min. lol
I"m on dialup and don't even bother with u-tube

you can check the preferences/options on your video player and see how big a chache you are allowing ...
change the setting to infinity if you can
just remember to clear it regularly.

get cc cleaner ... its free or at least was when I got it

Ok.. but who is your internet provider? and what speed is it?

You can test it here, just to be sure that your speed is up and the problem is elsewhere.

http://www.bandwidthplace.com/

Once we eliminate the possibility that you don't have the necessary speed, then we can work from there. (note, it takes a few seconds after you click the start button)

So do that test and come back and post what was the result.
