2 yrs ago I traveled from Ohio to North Carolina to a singles party being hosted and held by a couple that owned a fishing lodge.. We had 35 people from all over the US.. Ca, AZ,TX, Georgia, Fl, Ms., the Carolinas, Oh and Michigan.. It was 4 days over July 4th and we had a ball..had a pig roast, fishing contests, a disc jockey, swimming and sightseeing...I didn't meet anyone I was interested in but make a lot of new friends...

Yeah...didn't care for it. It is pretty much like shopping for a puppy dog, and no one picks the puppy with extremely large spikes in his hair. Disappointing, really, but that's just me.
Punk concerts on the other hand... |

I'm pretty sure I would feel insanely overwhelmed at something like that.

They are fun if you don’t have expectations.
If you can enjoy circulating, having a cocktail, and just enjoying yourself then you will have fun. If you feel that laying money down will put pressure on you to meet someone then maybe not. I’ve been to a few and never found anyone close to my type or compatibility; however, I had a lot of fun! |

I'm pretty sure I would feel insanely overwhelmed at something like that. It would certainly be a stretch WAAAYY out of my comfort zone! |

I have never even heard of these things. In my po-dunk backward arse state, single parties are referred to as 'keggers in the woods'.

Used to have one called Tin Can Alley because it was always littered with empty beer cans after Friday and Saturday nights! |

Not sure if they still go on because it's been years since I've been to one but I spent many a Fri or Sat night in some farmer's back forty. Ahhh, those were the days! |

I'm pretty sure I would feel insanely overwhelmed at something like that. It would certainly be a stretch WAAAYY out of my comfort zone! I can be a very social person but not in a room full of single guys looking for a date... oh lord I could only imagine how many cheesy lines it would take for me to lose it. |

ive been to quite a few.. well a camp out and several ones with the same group to go dancing... most all were single.. some already hooked up.. however one thing i noted about them... is a lot of swapping going on.... like they date for short time.... sleep with them.. then move on to the next one... most there werent my type.. seem to be for a lot just a place to hook up.. not really my style....but some werent like that.. it was a low percentage though.. the camping we bought our own space and food etc... and same as the dance thing... i did get some cheap people steal my drinks too while i danced.. how gross! so i guess i bought someone a couple of 6 dollar drinks.. i just have no clue who... and they took them after i took a few sips off of them too... nasty!
