I'm planning on moving to Myrtle Beach soon. I have been looking at apartments online and have read that there is a high crime in MB. I've visited MB, but have never felt unsafe or anything.

What would be areas to avoid? I've read reviews of Canterbury Apartments, Claypond Commons, and Flintlake Apartments. Canterbury and Claypond had nothing but bad reviews mostly. Flintlake seemed pretty iffy, so to be safe I'm assuming the worse. From what I've read it seems that the area code 29579 is a bad area.

If you live in the area, what's your thoughts?

The Arrowhead community is a great place and believe it or not 1 mile from the hell holes mentioned. Arrowhead is a golf course community but about 1/2 way thru are apts for rent, seem nice. Pools, car wash and gym are just a few. Good luck and if ur down here already hope alls well! Lifer and wouldn't have it any other way!
