Not everyone knows there is a spell check or how to use it. My brother-in-law didn't know about it until I showed him. No spell check anymore on Mingle, anyways. |

I hate when I'm reading somebody's profile and they don't explicitly mention how awesome I am.
Like... didn't you know I'd be reading it at some point? Some people can just be really inconsiderate. |

Here's one that really bugs me: ladies who put pictures of themselves up in a group of ladies, maybe even several of them, and then don't say which one they are anywhere. I guess somehow we're supposed to infer from the the text in the profiles which one they are?
Another one: pictures that were obviously of themselves with some other guy, only half the picture has been cut away. |

I will settle, however, for
"Damn, Colin is so awesome." |

What pet peeve do you have about any random profile? The cut and paste? The terribly misspelled words? Something else? Do tell!!!! For me it's those that don't know the difference in they're and their and there! They were taught to us in elementary school! Also, it's and its!!! People who complain about the way people spell, yet type something like "what gets you goat" in the title of their post. |

I could care less about spelling, as long as I can understand what their saying. I would like to see a few more comma's out there, but I can usually crack the code. |

I really have few complaints about profiles. Spelling and grammar are not an issue for me. I know grown people I adore who are productive members of society, hold down jobs, are raising great kids and in loving relationships that can't spell a lick.
The only two things that get to me are the ones, as has already been mentioned, are the those that just say...I'll write more later" or "If ya wanna know anything, just ask" and nothing else. Ya gotta give me a little somethin' to go on. The other are those with pics exposing their 'assets' for all the world to see. I have often seen a well written profile where those types of pics take away completely the integrity of the entire profile. |

Crap, I had to lose the i |

Men lying about their height Why in the hell would anyone lie about how tall thay are ? |

My all time favorites are "I want to feel alive again" and "69" somewhere in the username like bottomfeederCarp69 or some such and thank god you're not Peccy69 or Angel might've said "eeeww" and moved on and you two wouldn't be the cute lovebirds you are today |

Men lying about their height Why in the hell would anyone lie about how tall thay are ? Because so many women say right in their profiles that they will only date guys that are above a certain height... doesn't make it right, but I'm willing to bet that's why. |

That makes absolutely no sense, though, unless their purpose is just having that first date. It's going to be obvious they lied right away. I will never understand that kind of thinking. |

Me either, Emily! As with men, I've had guys lie about their body type too. They say athletic and they are big 'ol tater tots - and shorter than stated. For me, not only is the height issue important but the body type is as well. With my lifestyle and activity level, I am not attracted to someone who sits more than runs. The beer belly thing isn't cute but some guys call that a six pack! Do people really believe their exaggerations? Maybe they don't really plan on meeting someone in person and by the time it goes too far - they are cornered? |

I hate run on sentences. Ok, I realize that English class was not "popular" in high school, but the written word does show some semblance of intelligence. And text speak in a profile annoys me beyond belief. I don't mind getting texts using "U" for you and "R" for are, but when you write it on your profile?
Also, women who write the following...."I don't like games and drama". Really? No shiit!!!! |
