My daughter will be a senior this year and my son a sophmore. I have no idea what I am going to do with myself once they are both in college. I have spent so many years involved in their everyday activities I think I am going to be lost.

i got lost when my daughter told me she was pg at 14 she now 27 with 3 awsome kids.. now know why my sisters an i turned my moms hair grey early..LOL!! |

Divorced for over 2 yrs. Out of the house for almost 3.
When my oldest daughter turned 18 she came to live with me. Now she has moved back to Colorado after close to a yr with me. She needs to spread her own wings and learn to fly. But it hurts with her gone. |

Trust me...your children are NEVER gone!! Do your best to make them wonderful men and women and let them fly!! Don't worry, they will be back...even IF its just to stay for a visit!!! You know how we hold them in OUR hearts? THEY also hold us the same way...life is all about changes. Before you know it, you have grandchildren and you get to start all over again!!!
Take a deep breath..it IS going to be alright!!!

oh, I was so looking forward to seeing my son spread his own wings and take care of himself,,,Im so proud that time has come and Im glad I kept enough of my OWN identity to not feel lost or unsure of what I will do without him
well, I have another fifteen years with my daughter,, lol, but I hope I can manage to balance my responsibility for her with my responsibilities to myself,,,so that I can someday watch her fly away as well,,, |
