Dear OP,
I'm a fan... Not a "know all their names & positions" fan but I do enjoy watching poor countries kick the pantz out of better trained, financed and sponsored ones. The world cup is bigger than the olympics IMO and since it only comes around every 4 yrs it DESERVES RESPECT! Poor country soccer ball 1930 Uruguay 4-2 Argentina 1934 Italy 2-1 Czechoslovakia 1938 Italy 4-2 Hungary 1942 not held 1946 not held 1950 Uruguay 2-1 Brazil 1954 Germany 3-2 Hungary 1958 Brazil 5-2 Sweden 1962 Brazil 3-1 Czechoslovakia 1966 England 4-2 Germany 1970 Brazil 4-1 Italy 1974 Germany 2-1 Holland 1978 Argentina 3-1 Holland 1982 Italy 3-1 Germany 1986 Argentina 3-2 Germany 1990 Germany 1-0 Argentina 1994 Brazil 3-2 Italy 1998 France 3-0 Brazil 2002 Brazil 2-0 Germany 2006 Italy 1-1 (5-3) France 2010 What exactly do you mean by "Laughable contest"? |

Now i am getting worried! Another break like that for the USA could finish us. We are still favourites though, i think!

That USA Goalie is freaking awesome. England does look good though, but the USA boys are hanging tough.

Final Score
Eng 1 - USA 1 The Hooligans will be waiting for Green´s homecoming.... I agree with Goof....Howard was the man of the hour. Am more impressed with the US team, played head to head was anyones game. WTG USA....... |

Both teams should be proud of their performance, that really could have gone either way. I would say that England as a whole were a little stronger, but only just. That mistake by Rob Green changed the whole game, my 3-0 prediction might have been acheived without it(glad i never placed a bet now!).

If we play the Argies and they cheat again, then there will be trouble! |

Cheating????? How dare you question the work of the Lord???
I didn´t even think the Hooligans were allowed in. Theyve been deporting Argentines left and right.... Burn the freakin town..... |

Should be quiet m8, but argentina never cheated that was the world cups greatest goal ever, closely followed by Maradona's solo run

That mistake by Rob Green changed the whole game, my 3-0 prediction might have been acheived without it(glad i never placed a bet now!). England had many dangerous goal opportunities that they couldn´t concrete, the US didn´t generate any as far as I saw. They missing a good middle man. They played a good defence and their goalie saved the game. I predict the US won´t get far, but you never know with lady luck...... |
