Topic: Failing to succeed | |
---|---|
Well, I think I'm going to quit my job today. I been wanting to move out of state of a long while now, and I'm finally going to push myself to do so now, or I will never do it.
Also, I have to go offline to get new clients for my business. I know I could make a killing offline, and charge and arm and a leg. With the market I'm tageting I could easily make $50 or more a month per client, but I will keep my prices low. I don't believe in exploiting and taking advantage of people like that. Besides, once I get some more clients and they see how I can actually help them out, I hope they help spread the word. Anyway, I've never sold face to face. I don't have any experience in sale or marketing or anything like that. I'm kinda nervous about just going out there and selling like that, but I know there's people that want and need what i have to offer. Well, my point was this. Sometimes we have to jump out of the nest to find out if we can fly or not. I've been in the nest for too long and I'm ready to start flying. I know I can reach my goals and I've been too afraid for to long, which is why I haven't met them yet. Well, now I'm just going to do it, scared to death or not, I'm going to succeed. I don't know if I got out what I wanted to or not with this ramble, but I felt there was a good topic in here somewhere. |

The only thing I would do is make sure I have enough money saved for the move in case I don't get employed right away. Also have to think about where you will be living. Rental costs etc..
Actually finding a job first in the new area would probably be a better idea. |

Congrats on taking a chance and following your dreams. You will do great because you believe in what you are doing. As I tell my son who is your age, now is the time to take the chance. Good Luck and don't give up. Believe in yourself!

I can get a job, that's no problem. I do have money saved up for a little bit.
Also, I need to push myself to reach my goals, and I think this just is the push I need to meet my goals and make myself happy. |

Good Luck and don't give up. Believe in yourself! Thank you, that's the whole purpose of what I'm doing now, because I finally got to a point to where I believe in myself in my head, now I want to prove to myself that I can do it. |

Take the risk. It doesn't matter what your age is. In a way, it doesn't matter if you know what you're getting into. Soemtimes it's better to not know, 'cuz not being aware of what other people see as 'limitations' might just be the thing that enables you to overcome 'em 'cuz you 'didn't know any better'.
I told myself early in life that I'd try everything I wanted to do, whether it succeeded or failed. The reason ... ? Simple. I didn't want to wind up on my deathbed (and we all will sooner or later) wondering 'What if ... ?" or "If only ... ". I took the time to try the things I wanted. Some worked. Most didn't. But I have my answer(-s). When the time comes to 'Exit, stage left', I'm not gonna be wondering what WOULDA happened - I already know. So will you ... |

Yeah, I figure even if I fail I will still succeed. |

If you fail and LEARN from the failure, you've succeeded ...

Thank you. No, failing doesn't kill us, it's when we fear failing and allow that fear to stop us from reaching our goals is what kills us.

Good luck. Remember that even Bill Gates started out with an idea while tinkering around in the garage

Thanks, I'm going to Myrtle Beach, SC. OBX is another option, but Myrtle Beach seems like a better plan for me.

I don't know all the specifics, but either way - good luck, Torgo! Best wishes on whatever endeavors make you happy, man.

Thanks, I'm more excited than anything else. Things will work out. There's a store that just opened up a little bit ago right accross the street. If I sell everything I can over there, that will give me a little extra cash and make moving a lot easier for me. If they don't want it, I know a pawn shop that will take it.
