(And besides, many people see UFO's too but still nobody writes about that as history or fact. They just write that those people were seeing things like swamp gas.)

Well, at least they report that people are "claiming" to see UFOs. There's not even historical evidence that people even "claimed" to see an abnormal amount of zombie saints during that time.

I can see why someone who has been told that the Bible is truth would become very skeptical when they read these things.

I fully understand. I was raised into the religion, it took me a very long time to get past it. Believe me!

A lot of things in the Bible actually read like dreams or hallucinations people are having. Maybe they were eating those funny mushrooms back then.

Well, that is really odd isn't it. In the Bible, God supposedly comes to people in visions and dreams (which is the basis of shamanism), yet if you mention shamanism to someone who believes in the Bible they boo hoo it as if it's a bunch of baloney. laugh

I don't doubt that some parts of the Bible might actually be genuine shamanic experiences. I'm sure there is some truth in there somewhere. There are actually parts of the Bible that do make spiritual sense. For example, "I am that I am", makes perfect sense. But when that "I am" starts ranting like an egotistical spoiled brat, "Don't have any other Gods before me and murder all the heathens!", then I think it went a bit overboard. laugh

Actually there are a lot of good concepts in the Bible, if they weren't tainted by all the male chauvinism and obscession with demanding that eveyone is a sinner for every little thing, it could have been a half-decent picture of spirit. The whole concept of blood sacrifices kind of did it in from the get-go for me. That;s just too Zeus-like. And then the great flood, and the crucifixion. It just went haywire with too much obscession with violence and sin. ohwell

47 years.. Wow. congrats.

One sould never need to search. God is with you.

even when you see him not.

from the moment of your birth to the day he gathers you up.

As you have free will he does not 'reveal' himself to you but rather waits for you to 'notice' his presence.

Seeking God is like seeking the forest when you are in the forest.
