Have you watched porn lately? That is like the "In" thing these days.  so it is a double standard thing If someones 18 daughter is dating a man the dad's age, people expect the dad to be outraged and want the dad to go after the guy. BUT if my son had a connection with a woman my age, "society" would basically tell my son...way to go Does that make any sense????? Kind of an archaic notion IMO...right? |

What stings Melody? I see nothing wrong with it if that is someone's thing. I guess I have a little guilt over the creepy aspect you pointed out. Do we look weird togther? Why would I care if we do? I over-think this when we are apart. He just sent me a text saying, "thinking of you". Is it too much too soon? Etc ....   Don't think too much into it Melody! Just do what you think is right, who cares what others think. I usually don't care if there is a nuclear fallout around me when I'm in love with someone. The rest of the people are only fuzzy figures like looking through of a foggy window, only she is sharp and clear and inside a bright halo! Not to be the wet blanket here, but let's inject a little reality into the situation. Anyone younger than 24 I still consider a "kid" mainly because most don't really know what they want yet and haven't experienced a whole lot. Guys that young love to try out the "older woman" thing because they don't play games and everything is pretty straightforward. You can have a no strings attached - physical relationship that's casual and they love that, however as time goes on they will eventually gravitate to other young pretty girls more their age or younger sooner or later. While it may be a fun short term thing, I wouldn't put yourself too much into it or you may risk getting hurt. (And yes I know you always risk getting hurt but this type of situation has a higher chance of that). Did you read my original post? I covered everything you addressed - so I am not going into this blindly.  Your post is redundant to my original reply but thanks for your thoughts. It is but it's along the same lines that society thinks a woman who is very sexually active is a slut while the guy is a stud. Props for the guy, but the girl is dirty. It's unfair, but that's the way society is. |

You are correct in that example. I'm just trying to get into people's minds (kind of a hobby of mine ) I can understand if you aren't attracted to a certain age, race, gender, weight, hair color....whatever, but I DON'T get is why some people feel the need to label others for these things. I'll never get it I guess.
