Topic: Some like it hot | |

I can take the heat up to around 105 degrees before it bothers me, as long as its dry heat. The humidity is what drives me nuts, it could be only around 85 out but if its humid, I'm stayin in my a/c. Seems like the humidity saps the energy out of people and makes them a bit pissy. I know it does me!

At 11 this am it was 98, now it's 107, in the shade. Without the humdity there's a vast difference in the sun by about 15-20 degrees hotter. Theres a breeze so it isn't so bad, when it stops then it's HOT.
It's supposed to end in a couple of days, going back to the 80's, just a heat wave. If it was global warming, would think it would stick around. |

The last 3 or 4 days have been 99 to 108 here. I don't mind it.

Out in far West Texas we could have 115 degree weather and work out in it all day..the nights always cooled off. Here in South Texas 92 degrees and 40+ humidity is a killer! Hot all night and 5 minutes after you shower, you're soaked to the skin again from the humidity! It sucks!

I thought that when I moved to Florida I would acclimate to the heat & humidity. After 30 years that didn't pan out.I'm good up until about 90.I handle the heat alot better than the cold.

I loved the dry heat of the SW when I lived there (AZ), but living in Ohio it gets hot and humid.. I'm lucky that I have a pool right outside the front door of my apartment and I can always go for a ride on my Harley..

I want my snow back. I want grey, cloudy, overcast days in the 40s ... occasional rain is okay, but not a lot ...
heat and humidity are only good for braising ... |

Don't mind the heat as long as I can be in my pool!!!
What I hate is walking out in the evening from work and being hit in the face with the humidity to where it makes your whole body just drag! |
