why am i here- still ask`n myself that

When I came here a couple years back, it was to find a chick to date. And, I did. So I had some success. But right now, I am here because I like the silly topics that generate here, and the serious ones. I don't take this place seriously, which kills me because I am sure there are people here who think one way about me, or another. I don't really care about it because those people (and you know who you are) can suck my big toe.

Anyways, I do agree with Myka in that there are alot of people who do whine on the forums about the opposite sex. And I just love those individuals who are here for like three days, send out a few emails, get no return emails and they post a rant about how this site doesn't work. Or, nobody views there profile (we do have stealth mode) and they flip out about how nobody likes them. Sweet grape juice people. Are you still in second grade? LOL!

To the original question: I signed up here to perhaps try another option in finding that special someone I know just has to be out there somewhere. Being a single Dad doesn't leave a lot of time to go out and meet people (read almost exactly none), so at least there's a place like Mingle that gives me an option. I have gone on a couple of dates with ladies I've met here, and they didn't turn out to be what I was seeking, but at least they were a step in the right direction.

Actually, it's more like standing on the sidelines and hurling banana peels onto the marathon route for the entertainment value of catching that annoyed look on the faces of the most vain as they pick themselves up off their estimable hinderparts, announcing that they didn't really fall, they intended to do that. :)

Sure, you lose karma points, but who's really counting when the game is rigged anyway? Besides, an honest cynic will never pump sunshine up your skirt.
