Alright, so here's the plan...

If you watched a movie recently, let us know what you thought. Rate it whether you saw it in theaters, watched it on video, or saw it on TV. Rate it even if you've seen it several times. Hopefully some people will rate movies we don't see discussed too often.

Last night I decided to pull a DVD out of my collection that I don't sit down and watch too often. I grabbed Ghost World starring Thora Birch, Steve Buscemi, and Scarlett Johansson.

The movie is categorized as a comedy, but it's a very subtle kind of comedy. It's funny, but you almost feel bad for laughing, because it's pretty dramatic too. Another one of the things I enjoy about this movie is that it leaves room for the viewer to do some interpretation. Not everything is spelled out for you.

The acting is good all around, and the story is enjoyable. I would recommend this movie to my friends.

on wednesday, i watched iron man 2. robert downey junior was flat-out marvelous. the action sequences were quite nice, and the movie flowed well. it was over before i knew it...even though it's not a short film. i'll be watching it again, i'm sure.

today i watched prince of persia. the acting was terrible, the story disjointed and over-played. predictable. if i heard the word "sacred" one more time, i think i would have shot myself. it was, however, stunning to look at, and worth the money just for all the parkour going on.

last night i decided to view Wolfman... honestly i wasn't too impressed with it. i know it is a remake and with all of the new technology when it comes to special effects and all. i am a purist when it comes to certain things and this movie is one of them. i have watched the original countless times and it just didn't do it for me watching the new one. Anthony Hopkins did a great job and im sorry but Benicio Del Toro shouldn't play anything where he may have to have the slightest accent other than the one he has. he can't pull it off. that and the one role he has played that i will forever associate him with is his role in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. i just kept waiting for him to bust out and say "Did you see what God just did to us MAN?"

I'll take the original any day too. I love all of the Universal monster movies from the 30's and 40's.
