Do you follow the mob mentality? Do you think the mob mentality exists? What would you do if everyone chanted you to your death?

I think I would turn around and wave my middle finger high in the air. People who can only exist as a part of a collective is pretty sad really...

If so, there was an example of it in Central Park just recently. A few guys started groping women passing through. After a short time, a big mob wasn't just groping and feeling them up, they were ripping their clothes off.

If some of the bystanders had tried to stop them, they'd have been stomped to death.

Yeah, that would be considered a mob mentality. Everyone else is doing it, so can I...type of thing.

I was in a gate stompede at a Styx concert where everyone in the back of the line started pushing - back when they still had concert seating & didn't have open ticket gates

Not really off topic it is what the topic is about. I just figure this is one of those types of things that you really can't have a clear idea about until you are actually in the situation.

no, just went w/ the flow best as we could - made a wrist chain w/ 2 of my friends and refused to get separated

Same way at the Korn concert, you get sucked into the mosh pits and just hold your elbows up so no one will touch you...also get smashed against the railing, haha.
