Do you have them? How high are they? Are they keeping people out or keeping you in?

It's not the walls. It's the gatekeeper. Still looking for the keyholder.
dang that a big long gate i can see it from here lol

No..it's actually a regular sized gate, but there is Wonderland behind it.

For others, it just might be Wolley World experience from the Chevy Chase movie.

Do you have them?

Unfortunately I only have one that I've been working on consistently over the years. It's a brick silo shaped thing to blend in with my Vermont surroundings.

How high are they?

After all the blood, sweat, and tears I've invested...I have no friggen clue. I'm up here still adding bricks and the people below look like ants if that's any indication. laugh

Are they keeping people out or keeping you in?

I initially erected it as a barrier against one particular person. With time, it's become a self-imposed prison. Unfortunately I'm too dang tired from building the stupid thing to dismantle it now.ohwell

I don't know about walls....but i did learn karate, so if u mess with me i'll just kick your azz...plain and simple!!!!laugh

I think everyone has a bit of a wall from something someone has done to them in the past. But i'm sure we have all hurt someone too by telling them we are no longer in love with them or want to be with them, But we all have our reasons. But if you are strong enough to break down my wall i could make someone very happy i'm sure but it takes time and patience.

No walls at all here. Some may call that naive or stupid but I figure love is hard enough to find without expecting someone to climb, break through or knock down a wall to get to my heart. But at the same time, I don't just give my heart away to anyone. Yes, I've been fooled and been hurt, but I consider myself lucky to have loved and been loved by each of them. I don't wanna be the person at the end of my life saying "I should have.....". drinker

I think U have to meet the person and total honesty is a must!!! On line is fine, phone is great, but nothing beats spending time with them!! I am talking to a very gorgous lady that is open, nothing hidden, and willing to compromise on alot of things!!! Distance doesnt have to be that big barrier if U are willing to meet and find out!!! Someone saying they love U without REALLY knowing U will only lead to heartache and resentment!!

How are you suppose to let your wall down when every guy you meet ends up braking your heart or being a jerk???! I know not all men are like that, I just wish i could find one of those few.ohwell

I have pretty high walls. It's not intentional, although I am slightly aware of it. It's just my nature. When I feel that someone is getting too close, I tend to become elusive, withdrawn, and close them off. I tend to keep people at a distance, even long time freinds and family.

Naaah...no walls. Just being myself is challenging enough. But I appreciate them, you know there's an old saying, I think from New England farmers: good walls make for good neighbors. Having and KNOWING your own limits, desires, and requirements, is fundamental to being comfortable with someone else.
