I'm with you Sherry....I just want the honeymoon sex!!!!  No more marriage for me! Don't care to find out if "the 3rd time is a charm"!  Eh. I want the honeymoon sex and all the gifts you get from the wedding. I know....I am sooooo stubborn. But no gifts....then no honeymoon sex.

actually in this day and age, fewer & fewer women do want to marry. men are a lot of work, so to consider marrying one there's gotta be a lot of love...jmho So men have gone from being manwhores and pigs to "being a lotta work" eh? why do men want to get married,,,that would be an interesting topic,,,,its not really as culturally promoted towards young men as it is towards young women I actually kind of like that we seem to be getting away from that stereotype of the typical female plotting and conniving to trap her man  I am not sure why marriage is losing support among younger people. but I agree that it is -so is child rearing. My sons in their 20s are still singles - no kids... I think a couple of the guys on here pretty much nailed it - people - men and women both, don't marry cuz they see the damage done in the past to friends and family with divorce property awards and the general mess the legal system makes out of their lives and the lives of the divorced couples' kids...remember many of the younger folks who scorn marriage today were affected by the mess the legal system made of their and their parents' lives... |

I remember running around like a moron in Vegas, trying to make sure everything was just right. That was definitely an experience I'd like to leave in the past!
Everything that people say about marriage is correct too. People start taking things for granted. I did too, so I'm not placing the blame solely on her. But she did the thing that will perhaps haunt me forever. Think of the opposite of throwing up....lol |

I'm on the fence. Marriage in general, meh. Too many people seem to find it easy to get in and to get out of.
However, I'm romantic enough to want someone to love, adore, harrass, play with, torment, tie up, and enjoy the rest of my life, with common, and not so common interests and differences. I want the 37 year anniversary that my folks are having this August. |
