I am sure the living soldiers are far more important.

not surprised you'd say such a thing

Once we are dead and gone the living become priority. The passed soldiers would feel the same way.

One of the PRIORITIES enjoyed by the living is to remember and respect those who sacrificed everything they had and everything they were ever going to have to make sure OUR world was safe for us and our posterity ... They had THEIR priorities right.

yep

I have nothing against soldiers, dead or alive. I am sure that the dead soldiers would believe that the living soldiers are far more important than they are. Saving lives is more important than remembering someone who is no longer aware of anything.

Priorities really do lie with the living.

Yes I know he needs to be impeached already and yes I am a veteran myself and I called the white house and complained already as well. I urge everyone to write to the white house and complain as well.

The phone number is 202-456-1414 for the white house and for Vice President Biden it is 202-456-9000. The address is

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

or of course just go to the website http://www.whitehouse.gov/ and type in a comment
I just wrote to the white house and complainded, hopefully action will take place and Obama will be replaced with someone more experienced who can really lead and bring this country out of its hurt state.

complain about what,, and impeached upon what basis?
I really did not want to respond as to back up my reasons but since i am here i might as well. first of all all the illegal immigrants crossing the borders, the oil spill i could go on and on homeland security is not totally safe we just need a wiser, classy, if you will "older" and more experienced leader.

I will tell you why this would not suffice as grounds of impeachment,, because these cannot be attributed DIRECTLY to this President.

The immigrant situation has gone one under SEVERAL presidents BEFORE Obama took office, so to impeach him would require impeaching EVERYONE before him that was in office while this activity took place.

The oil spill is also not something that can be atributed to the President,, that it happened during his Presidency does not make him RESPONSIBLE for it happening,, only responsible for responding to it,,which he is,,,

here is some information on PAST impeachment and the PERSONAL violations those Presidents were guilty of

http://www.miketodd.net/encyc/impeach2.htm

also, please make a note of how many on the list are impeached for what someone felt they 'failed to do'. the impeachments are all based upon actual OFFENSES ( or actions)

Bribing a Congressman to drop out of the race is. It is also punishable by prison time.

There was no bribery the job was a non paid position.

So no prison time.

No crime at all actually.

ACTUALLY, trying to fix the outcome of a Congressional race by offering an opponent a job is a MAJOR crime.

No it isn't.

The only way it would have been is if the job offer went to an opposite party incumbent. Inner party stuff like that is not illegal.

Well his actions are very distasteful i do not know the whole story but just listening in on this thread about how unpatriotic he was on memorial day turned me off. And that is an "act" an act of disloylaty to our country. And he should have had prior plans to protect the oil spill from happening in the first place somehow. He should not let so many things go wrong. We deserve a more practical and wiser president that can pull the troops out and fix the economy while protecting our state boundries. He just does not seem right for the job. That is all.

Wow. Even though I don't particularly care for some of the things he has ( and HASN'T ) done...the fact that you find some of the things he's done " distasteful " is not even CLOSE to being grounds for impeachment.

Memorial Day....I won't give him ( or any other President ) a pass on that one.

The oil spill...do tell how HE should have had a plan in place when no other sitting President has had one either.

Same with Immigration. No other President has done anything about it, so how can that problem be laid on Obama's steps?

I don't believe anyone here said they didn't respect soldiers who have died. I'd say it's a good idea to respect those who are still alive and fighting as well, though.

Can't argue with that - "Priorities really do lie with the living."

Before bashing the current President for which veterans burial site he visited...

Did you go to a veterans burial site to honor those that fell for freedom?

Did you even take a moment to reflect upon what they did for your Liberty?

If you did none of these things.

You have no right to throw a bash at someone who did.

I am a veteran. I do those things quite often.

I do not 'support' Mr. Obama. I also do not 'support' unwaranted and obviously politically motivated garbage.

Some people should put out the fire before opening the mouth. That way words come out stead of smoke.

This thread demonstrates why schools should return to (but won't) teaching things like civics and government ... it's never in the best interests of the 'political class' to have an educated electorate.

Then why do so many Democrats have college degrees?

Thanks Winx.

It is actually starting to irrate me the silly things people bash him for. I don't like a lot of his policies but he IS doing an adequate job as President.
