Only bad thing so far with the shock treaments, Is now I keep getting a twitch in my right eyefrustrated

That's bad enough, but if/when your "right hook" starts to twitch, let me get out of the way first!

To be honest here. Every time I think about that time I broke that waiters nose I feel bad. For 10 bucks, he realy didnt deserve that.

I handle wait staff in such a fashion as to turn around a bad attitude in the first 5.

They're obviously having a bad day and are in a mini nervous breakdown/meltdown, it isn't personal to me ...

I've been there in their constraining moccasins ...

It is an opportunity to reverse the misfortune, treat a person w/ the hardest job I've EVER done w/ some dignity, love, empathy and compassion ...

Has NEVER failed to garner an instant reversal of bad attitude to great, and their personal best service possible ...ALWAYS!

ONLY exception is when they've been a complete newbie, incapable and/or unsuited ... I still get the best they are capable of, and tip generously ...

Food issues? Yep: "I need to speak w/ your manager, please"

When I do? I make sure to put in a good word for my server ... flowerforyou

I agree Dancere. Actually one of my servers once, had a mom who'd been diagnosed with cancer THAT SAME DAY. No wonder they were "off" .. I work in PR, so communication is part of who I am & so I do try to turn their day if that's the issue.

BUT .. once in a while, they just don't want to change it up.

I think the best time I've ever had was when I left a HUGE (50%) tip for the server @ a not-so-exciting eatery. They were young and seemed stressed.

We left the big bill and then slipped around the corner and watched thru the window as they picked it up.

BEST reward ever was seeing their shocked look. SWEEEEEEET. And taught my children another lesson about the joy of giving!!
