I've gotten in touch with old friends. One person who I was very close to in high school found me toward the end of last year. I hadn't seen him in probably 10 years. We met up in December when we were both in NYC and had a great time. It was like we hadn't missed the last 10 years.

Other than that, there are various people from high school that have found me. And if someone has added me that I don't recognize, I have no problem asking them how we knew each other. It's better than adding someone I don't know.

Wasn't long after I created a Facebook page that my old high school buddies found me. They had been looking for me and thought I was dead or something.

That was me!!! Skinng dipping streaken, and... OPPS sory Peccy wrong lady!!!! She was reheaded, 9 foot tall and a VERY... forget that too!! OPps again I thought t was Jennifer Annistan!!!

Hah! Haven't even tried looking for family. LOL!

Have reconnected with a couple of school friends I know, and friends that have disappeared, plus a couple of mom's friends, who have it. Also a few animal rescue folks. And some dear friends from here on Mingle2.

I actually do know most of the folks on there pretty well, even for it being online, both on Facebook and Yahoogroups. I weed out the list every month or two and nix those who aren't speaking to me.

Also found the daughter of one of mom's childhood friends, and she was kind enough to pass on phone numbers to her mom. We didn't add each other or anything, but mom and her friend have been having a field day catching up on 25 years. LOL!

I really really wish, however, the privacy controls weren't changing. My ex is on there, and because it's allowing groups to be seen, he's joined the ones I'm in.

I just had a friend find me yesterday...we were 10/11 years old back in Pennsylvania. After several messages we had determined that we were in fact the ole childhood friends. That was a trip...
She started searching for me and because I had taken back my maiden name she said I was actually quite easy to find.
Kinda cool, but kinda scary in a way that it was so easy to find me..

i got a few friends over there an some family members that are over there glad for it cause i will be able to stay in touch with my 19 year old cousin who is going over seas in a few weeks for the army..

With my family & friends scattered all over the country (and a few children out of country), I found facebook is a very good tool for communication. I can put pictures in one place every now and then and family and friends can see them. Much easier than sending separate pics to everyone. If not abused....I really like facebook. Although the way everything links together nowadays, I do worry about privacy.
