Topic: Worst Console Games Ever | |
---|---|
Ok. Wanna discuss those console games that you felt were just terrible, or just did not live up to your high expectations. Here we go......
HALO 3: Ok, was it "THAT" bad? No. It wasn't. But man, considering what Bungie had to work with as far as this being the first game of the Halo series on the 360, I really expected alot more. Plus, Bungie had promised that the campaign mode would be much better than it was on Halo 2. Obviously, that wasn't the case. The story seemed and felt rushed, the cutscenes were short and there just wasn't much depth to the game. Not to mention the fact that graphically, the game left alot to be desired. Yes, multiplayer was great, but I really wanted Bungie to make part 3 memorable...and they failed. Yes, with ODST they did redeem themselves. But Halo 3 should have been a game that we would all remember. And it just wasn't. FRIDAY THE 13TH: Ok. When you have a game where the main villain is IMPOSSIBLE TO KILL, then why make the damn thing? Seriously. I know Jason is tough, but I can't count how many people I knew that got pissed off at this game. You could be just walking your character on screen, and if Jason happened to pop out, you might as well consider it game over, lol. UGH!!! PAC MAN- How can you make Pac Man look like a crack addict and yet...still sell millions of copies of the game? Ask Atari, as they were somehow able to accomplish this. I can't really complain, because I played the Atari 2600 version of the game. We all did, and yet, while we did, we all wondered why we were playing this terrible version of the Arcade game we all loved, lol. Yes, it was a horribly made game. Instead of eating dots, Pac Man ate squares (or something like that). And the ghosts looked horrible too. And now I wish I could play it again. LMAO. |

Atari 2600, ET sucked so bad and it was not the only pointless game. There was a seriously bad one called Dragon Quest and it SUCKED stones.
Remember Yar's Revenge? That was an excellent game for the 2600. |

I remember ET and Friday the 13th....wow, even as a kid I knew they were bad. Aliens was bad too- I couldn't even land the freakin' ship on the planet.

ET is considered the worst video game of all time. Reading the story behind it, the guy who actually did the game had six weeks to do it. And well.....we all know the ending result.

Almost all of the Arcade conversions to 2600 were bad.
How about the "adult" game for the 2600- Custer's Revenge? |

Game Informer had Custer's Revenge at #2 on their list of Worst Video Games ever.
Speaking of Atari 2600 Conversions, the Donkey Kong conversion was terrible as well, but I played the hell out of it. |

Top Gun for NES. That game doesn't even need to be. It's just so ridiculous.

HAZE (PS3)- The idea for this game was a good one. I mean, having to jack your character with a drug just so he could fight better is wicked. However, when you were just a normal soldier, fighting was not fun, the controls were iffy, and you pretty much were a bad shot. On the drug....yeah, you could kick azz. But it didn't last for long. Game frustrated me to no end, and is the lone PS3 title I have played that I haven't liked.

Ghosts N' Goblins (NES)- I do like this game, and I don't consider it to be in the worst list. But it ranks at the top of the most frustrating games I ever did play. I mean, you get hit one time, you lose your armor. Second time, you die, and you have to go all the way back to the beginning. It was maddening. You had to time jumps over headstones, and also time your jumps from the stuff the bad guys threw at you. UGH!!!! Took me such a long time to beat it as a kid.
