UK retailer Primark had to clear its shelves of ’sexy’ padded bikinis for 7-year-old girls on Wednesday after an outcry from child protection agencies, parents and politicians campaigned for its removal.

The$6 bikinis were available in candy pink with gold stars or black with white polka dots, and featured a generous padded endowment for girls ages 7 and 8.

Who, aside from ?????? or pedophile, would want a 7 year old in a padded bikini??

Think this was all a storm in a teacup to be honest. I dont see how a pedofile with think any different about a child with a slightly thicker bikini. Good headlines for our over-the top newspapers though - were everything is an outrage!

i have to agree there's no reason a 7 year old needs the kind of attention that would be a result of wearing something like that. Children even teenagers should be enjoying life without having to worry about that. Yes, very sick.

WHOEVER puts a PADDED BIKINI on a seven-year-old is a serious perv - and yes, I DO include the 'parents' (to use a term loosely) in that categorization ... They think the true peds aren't watching when they take the little tykes dressed like underage hookers on 'holiday' ... ? Heh. I was thinking the same thing; I thought real pedophiles were attracted to the lack of secondary sexual characteristics. It isn't the real pedophiles that are behind this madness - its the people who want to sexualize children with those characteristics - who are behind this.

This includes parents who want their children to be 'attractive', and who have a really ****ed up idea of what that means.

Around the turn of the century, in west LA, it was not uncommon to see a mom and here early teen or pre-teen daughter (or grand daughter???) in public wearing similar skin tight pants with 'sexy' (or similar) written across the backside.

I'm not sure if they are really pervs; though they may be stupid, clueless, lacking in sense, taste, awareness, and certainly unqualified for parenting.

I've seen a lot of stuff on MegaSucknbc about that. Seems they spend a lot of time pointing out how artistic it is. Should have the whole news crew register as sex offenders.

The parents should have those kids placed for adoption and neutered and spayed so, they can't corrupt any more.
