unemployed, but honing my skills while waiting for opportunity to knock. smart man yeah b/c opportunity is just standing on the corner waiting to make sure we're all home... Hell opportunity is hiding in the alley hoping we don't notice them

So true Judy I must say myself even though I have been without work it has made me look life a bit different. I've learned to appreciate what I have more then before as well as I have gotten to spend a lot more time with my granddaughter Therefore it has been all worth while in the end... Oh absolutely. Me too. Helped a lot of other people, and my kid's schools - more volunteering - while I have been recklessly wild and crazy

I don’t really fit this, but …close Three years ago I had to shut down both of my companies due to a crooked partner and a slowing economy. In the time since it has been very hard to find sustainable business, the last two houses I built netted little profit because of the failing housing market….which is why it took 14 months to sell either one of them. (That’s a lot of interest btw) If you think taking a 50% cut is difficult, try having a negative cash flow for 32 consecutive months. Times are still hard for many people, much more so than the news and/or the government report. Well ya exactly. Like the unemployment state/fed percentages? Heck, that's just the people, like me, who actually FILE and COLLECT UI bennies. A boatload don't. no you are right many don't...and lets not forget the ones who have already cycled out of the system.

Been sitting in this chair on the beach! my turn to use that chair so move over lol Ya I have to say .. being off for the year and 1/2, I could REALLY get used to this fo sure lol but seriously its recession pretty hard for some family's to get their basic needs much less a job to provide it Unfortunately you are right. Our church as a corporate body is pulling together and helping so many in our community out during the hard times. And let's face it .. Even with the high unemployment rate and struggles economically, we are in a much better place than the Great Depression, and still at the top 5% richest in the world.

Alot of depressing people some will snap and commit suicide (know of a few cases)others turn to robbing etc

Well, I laid off.....that sounds bad.....anyways, I laid off some hookers because I couldn't afford them and there benefits (yes, gave them dental and life). Man....Obama better hurry up and fix this. His vistits are not like they once were.

Seriously...I am working, but I might be starting school sooner than I thought, which would be cool...but would also mean I will be poor for about a year, lol. Yay!!!
