I listen to all of it, but then again Im a red dirt band kinda man. I think he is refering to any music southern as in the red dirt of Georgia so to speak........... well I'm more a Blue Grass kinda gal what confused me is that most of what is discussed here is southern...so I think he refers to something more specific - maybe more of a southern rock flavor - like Skynard, Marshall Tucker???? IDK, really cuz I am more of a bluegrass and traditional country gal - even the traditional country I listen to leans more to rockabilly, country crossover, or blue grass (Dwight, Sugarland, Alison Krauss), than "southern Rock" Freebird anyone???? Perhaps our mysterious poster will explain himself |

I am listening to one of my favorite Dixie Chicks songs, wihtout you. I really admire the chicks. I saw a documentary movie about their lives and what they went thru during their protest of the Iraq war. I was saddened that a person's opinion cannot be free and be held separate ly from their art.
I think I have all of their cds and there is not a bad cd or a bad song on all of those. Not sure of a favorite tho - maybe the long way around? |
