Topic: His Peeps Care As Much As He Does ... | |

Which is to say, not much. We're hearing the loud wailings and gnashing of teeth from the envirofreak crowd (you know, the ones who voted for this mistake of a 'leader') about how terrible the oil spill is in the Gulf. Well, duh ... yeahhhhh. Not only did it take 'The ONE' TWELVE DAYS to even show up on-site to see it firsthand, the head of his Department of the Interior couldn't be bothered interrupting his planned vacation for a bit of spilled oil ... wasn't important enough. The only thing that IS 'important enough' for this 'administration' is obtaining ever-expanding control over our life and freedom.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalpunch/2010/05/while-oil-slick-spread-interior-department-chief-of-staff-rafted-with-wife-in-grand-canyon-.html While Oil Slick Spread, Interior Department Chief of Staff Rafted with Wife on "Work-Focused" Trip in Grand Canyon May 05, 2010 5:47 PM Though his agency was charged with coordinating the federal response to the major oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, Department of the Interior chief of staff Tom Strickland was in the Grand Canyon with his wife last week participating in activities that included white-water rafting, ABC News has learned. Other leaders of the Interior Department were focused on the Gulf, joined by other agencies and literally thousands of other employees. But Strickland’s participation in a trip that administration officials insisted was “work-focused” raised eyebrows among other Obama administration officials and even within even his own department, sources told ABC News. Strickland, who also serves as Assistant Secretary for Fish and Wildlife and Parks, was in the Grand Canyon with his wife Beth for a total of three days, including one day of rafting. Beth Strickland paid her own way, Obama administration officials said. The Stricklands departed for the Grand Canyon three days after the leaks in the Deepwater Horizon pipeline were discovered. Ultimately, after the government realized that the spill was worse than had been previously thought, officials decided that Strickland was needed in the Gulf so Strickland was taken out of the Grand Canyon by a National Park Service helicopter. One government official, asking for anonymity because of the political sensitivities involved, told ABC News that some Interior Department employees thought it was “irresponsible” for Strickland to have gone on the trip, given the crisis in the Gulf, which was fully apparent at the time he departed for the Grand Canyon. |
5 minutes looking at a picture of the spill and another 2 days in the casinos. Is that why the old lady stayed at home?
He thought in the picture it didn't look that big. It took up like only 5 inches on the map. |
BP gave Obama $71,000 in campaign cash in 2008.. That is almost twice as much as it gave to McCain.. $36,000..
You obviously doin't know the duties of a chief of staff. well, not all of them,, but ID bet presence was not one of their job duties,,,,not if they are present on another task,,,and have individuals in place to temporarily handle the situation already |
