So I thought my little furball of a dog was some kind of random mutt mix.... turns out shes some rare breed from Madagascar that only royalty was allowed to keep and breed. Pirates brought them over on their ships because they are such good companion dogs and they ended up being named after the port the pirates settled in there. Coton de Tulear.... (distant relative to the Bichon) This is what a puppy version of my little lucy would have looked like. (We got her at 3 years old, she was a rescue dog)  Very cute. I can certainly see the pirate in her..............
