Topic: What I just witnessed.... | |

A few days ago in Lexington KY a police officer was struck down and killed by a hit and run driver. I just learned about this yesterday from a friend of mine being I don't watch the news on TV anymore (my therapists advice...). While walking to Arby's I just saw what is obviously the funeral procession for this officer. It was awesome. Every blue and white in town...lights on...sirens...the whole deal. 25-30 of em'. Motorcylcles too. It was amazing. I stopped and watched as it passed by me. Almost forgot about what I was doing. It was incredible.

We had a cop friend who quit the force because he apprehended a guy who put a gun to his head and clicked the gun.
Later he found out there was a bullet in the chamber meant for him and there was no practical reason why the gun did not fire the shot. |

A police officer is not the only one who puts his life on the line each day, so does his or her family. If something happens to that officer, his/her family is forever changed too. When on officer is killed I think that it is great that all police come out to honor him/her because they are also showing their respect to the family for what they have sacrificed.
