At the time Born in America came out The "money" of the "music industry" was backing DISCO and they had some crazy thought that DISCO was were the money was to be made and if not for the success of Born in America we might still be listing to KC and the Sunshine Band. My God man, do you realize how horrible that would might have been. Born in America save Rock and Roll......

Long live Bruce!!!!!!!

Psst.

The album was Born In The USA.

And it was nothing more than a pop album that a bunch of sheep decided to buy.

If it weren't for the title track, millions of drunk rednecks would have completely ignore the album and it would have faded into the obscurity it truly deserved.

Now Journey, they have some good songs. Guns N roses.
Rolling stones were ok when they were all on acid. when mick jagger was blowing david bowie and eric clapton.

Journey ROCKS! When my son was in middle school, 2 yrs ago, all the guys were singing their songs in the hallway .. Caleb said there was one kid could have dubbed for lead vocals .. LOL

Just a small town girl
Livin' in a lonely world
She took the midnight train
Goin' anywhere
Just a city boy
Born and raised in South Detroit
He took the midnight train
Goin' anywhere

A singer in a smokey room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching
In the night
Streetlights, people
Livin' just to find emotion
Hidin', somewhere in the night

Workin' hard to get my fill
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin' anything to roll the dice
Just one more time
Some will win
Some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on

Strangers waiting
Up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching
In the night
Streetlights, people
Livin' just to find emotion
Hidin', somewhere in the night

[Instrumental Interlude]

Don't stop believin'
Hold on to the feelin'
Street lights, people
Don't stop believin'
Hold on
Street lights, people

That song is so mis-construed. It's actually an anti-American song. Just listen to the lyrics. Unfortunately George W. Bush didn't and it wound up biting him on the a$$! laugh

Ya just reread the lyrics. Kinda like Linkin Parks politically-aimed songs .. I just like the song. Forget the stupid politics laugh
