For all of the single Moms out there that do double duty each day, I
would like to wish you a happy father's day. I know what it is like and
I admire you for the struggles you go through on a daily basis that go
largely unnoticed.

I will feel a little out of place with my kids at the "fathers day" car
show , but I'm MOM and DAD ..so ,,,,and I like the muscle cars !

Muscle car shows? Now you're talkin"! Mid 60's - early 70's for me.

chris, you would have to look at it from another angle to understand. It
might seem silly but just to try and keep my kids thinking their mom was
involved, I would take them to buy a present for her each mother's day
and resented it because she would have to be called and reminded of
their birthdays more often than not. It can be very lonely raising kids
alone and there are many men and women here that my heart goes out to
for having to go through such things. It's all good in the end.

That is so sweet of you to remember us. It is hard to be both. My
daughter misses her daddy very much but she knows where he is, which is
in heaven. He was a good christian man and bestowed his good values
within her in the short 12 years he was in her life. He passed away just
about a week before her 12th birthday.
To all you dads too, some have to be mom and dad to their kids too.
But remember, anybody can be a Father, but it takes a real man to be a
Dad. It is very important to be there for your kids. Tell them everyday
that you love them and most of all, spend some quality time with them,
or you will regret it.
By the way Zap, my niece had her baby and they are doing fine. She is
so beautiful. She is my 4th great niece and has a head full of hair. lol
I can't wait to get my hands on her in a week or so.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL OF YOU DADS, AND THE OTHER MOMS OUT
THERE LIKE ME WHO HAVE TO BE THE DADDY TOO. Have a good one.
