Okay folks. This is a thread for the lurkers...you know, the ones who watch secretly from the dark recesses, with barely a word. So even though it might LOOK empty in here, this is probably the busiest thread around. You just can't see us!
 But a lurker, by definition, lurks. We don't post often. So if you happen to be a lurker, this is the place to come hang out and not be seen!  If you're looking for a lurker, you can check here, but you might want to yell when you arrive...we operate in stealth mode most of the time.  I'll be lurking around though. It's what I do. We could probably figure out by your 25,000+ posts that you weren't of the lurking variety Lex, which leaves the looking for a lurker option... but thanks for clarifying. We know you're superb with the words. You forgot to YELL to let 'em know you're here looking!  Lurkers, I know you can't post here by definition, but for God's sake, send Lex an email. He's one of the good guys.  Don't shoot the messenger Lex. You know it's true. Hope this helps in your pursuit.

I looked like the above picture yesterday after I pulled an all nighter the night before. Had to write a 15 page paper when I got home at 10pm from the chem exam I bombed big time.
 Haven't had time to lurk, but I'm lurking now. Glad to not see all the lurkers still here.

I think it's a bit strange to just sit here and follow people around... seems a serous lurker has some issues, or maybe just needs to get a life. I mean, I post alot, I'm on here alot..but just quietly watching others...something about that just doesn't settle with me.

I think it's a bit strange to just sit here and follow people around... seems a serous lurker has some issues, or maybe just needs to get a life. I mean, I post alot, I'm on here alot..but just quietly watching others...something about that just doesn't settle with me. I think it's a bit strange to go out and get completely wasted on a Friday night, pick up some stange piece of arse, and sleep with it. But it happens every Friday night all over America. Doesn't make it wrong, or weird. To each their own. Some people aren't social and prefer to interact rarely. Some people post on every topic. Just because I lurk and read posts but don't voice my opinion very often doesn't make me "unsettling". I assure you dear, I'm harmless. But I get what you're saying. Lots of people think the same thing. This thread was more of a way to get those who are afraid to post to come out of the closet. I mean, you've been here awhile...you see the way they eat newbies!

lurking can be attributed to shyness,in some cases.( hint hint ) also,sometimes the topics are just so bland,theres nothing to reply to,esp if someone has already said what i was thinking. its a common problem on chatsites,finding people who actually discourse about things of interest/intelligence. newbies..ha! having been thru the trial of fire,along with suffering thru the utter denial and Rude attitude some people here have towards NICE guys,lol,i can understand why some dont come back. heres wishing the lurkers and newbs the best. |
