so who here believes the rumor that the world is gonna end in 2012? i don't. i mean comon, theres been so many "end of the world" predications but none of them came true. oh well i'm bored and just something to discuss Well if it is the "end" of the corrupt world, poverty and crisis, then I'm all for it.

Both the Hopis and Mayans recognize that we are approaching the end of a World Age... In both cases, however, the Hopi and Mayan elders do not prophesy that everything will come to an end. Rather, this is a time of transition from one World Age into another. The message they give concerns our making a choice of how we enter the future ahead. There is nothing to discuss. It's idiocy! Remember the Millennium hype? People with too much time on their hands; bible thumpers who are a little crazed and ill-prophesorial; conspiracy theory zealots all leads to public hysteria. The weak or people who feed on drama grab onto these ideas that have no merit. I'm sure you can fill your time with something possessing a little more substance. somehow, you don't really strike me as the "substance" kinda girl..

Humanity is doomed. The only question is how much of the biosphere are we going to leave intact. Not much, I'd say. But hey, the world could get lucky. We could off ourselves w/ a bioengineered virus. I'm voting on octopie being the next form of life to develope intelligence on this planet. They're already pretty damn smart.

what cracks me up is it's like when we all stop paying attention, it (somethin) is gonna happen. No one has made any accurate forcast for the future since time began. The Mayans, maybe they ran out of the type of stone they neededfor their calenders? (actually their point was that on that date, the calender would start anew again) The Hopi, perhaps it was their own demise they should have been considering...or were. A person can read anything into anything...no offense Lori, or anyone. Speculation is fun, I'm more concerned on how we are treating the earth, thinking it's unlimited in resouces, while we over populate, pollute while the violence and neglect of life form escalates. There in I can see a demise...but more than likely by just one knucklehead pushing the wrong button, and probally the cleaning person by mistake (or not). 2012? Maybe. Maybe not. Just try and make things a little better on your end of the stick.

No offense taken..I've been fortunate to work with Alberto Villoldo and many Peruvian Shaman and have learned much from them, also the teachings of my Native American bloodline. All of these teaching are earth based and the importance of our connection to her. I refer to balance and harmony with the planet, never used the word demise, never have.
