ooooooooo a baseball game. I was just discussing a baseball bat on FB laugh

take me out to the ball game:banana:

Yeah. I would much rather do something out of the " norm '.

On the other hand...that also means that my first dates usually wind up costing me a pretty good chunk of change and makes it kinda tough to make the next date as special...lol

well no one wants to let me near baseball bats laugh

I wonder if anyone will take me to a shooting range pitchfork

PS: I AM clever Kerry...the zen said so laugh

The movies are NOT a good first date - or even 5th date for that matter - since you can't talk or see eye to eye.

That being said ...

- Indoor Rock climbing, tennis, driving range, hiking, biking, in-line skating, etc.
- Museums, wine tasting, art shows or the Science Museum
- Starbucks and a bookstore
- Cooking classes
- Sporting event; football, hockey, etc. I have homeplate, 5th row season tix to our AAA team for the A's - The Rivercats - and that is always a plus!

I like anything either active or educational so I get a better sense of his character depth. I can easily find out if he is hot-headed, overly competitive - or if he has a deep intellect and can think academically.

Good for 1 and 2. The bookstore would be out (hate distractions), have no real interest in cooking (though I can and collect cookbooks for some odd reason) and sports - meh. I only watch sports with someone to aggravate them. LOL!

I recently took a date to the county fair, and it was so much fun. We acted like little kids (I know. I act that way all the time, but shush! laugh ) and I made a new friend from it. I like creative things to do other than the "norm". I suggested the strip club, but she felt that was too soon. laugh

Anything where you can actually talk and get to know each other. I like Melody's idea of a museum or wine tasting!

I was disappointed when I tried the zoo. Got real tired of the ugly animal comments, and watching the guy make fun or talk stupid about the animals.

Did take a person out to Fossil Rim Wildlife Park, in Glen Rose, TX. That was more fun because of driving through the park and feeding the animals. He seemed to enjoy himself and I did after he quit with the shoot em and eat em comments. Told him to knock it off.

Where would be a good place to go on a first date?

A nice midnight walk in a Cemetery,,a trip to a mortuary to view a live embalming being done,,,a trip to a Cancer center to visit with many who were dying...

THEN

MAYBE,,,

BOTH OF YOU would have a MILD SENSE of the IMPORTANTS of CARING ABOUT OTHERS IN THIS LIFE,,and to FEEL the AWARENESS OF JUST HOW "SHORT" OF TIME,,WE ALL DO "HAVE"...???

ohwell flowerforyou  drinker JUST,,,A THOUGHT!!!!!

I really think it depends a lot on both parties interest. Some of these seem like good ideas but if both aren't interested it'd be boring for the other. I never liked movies on a date. Like someone mentioned they are for people who have nothing to say to each other. My first date out with my ex was to one of his friends for dinner & then the second was canoing out on the lake. But, I enjoy these things so it wasn't a problem. We also had known each other for more than a year before we dated & had a better idea of each others likes & dislikes.

Lmao! Love it!

Hmmm, anyone game to hike the Appalachian Trail with me? Start down south and walk it north, start to finish. Lol!

movie. picnic

Movies are not so good. It's a distraction, especially if both are paying attention to the movie. Then the date is nothing more than sitting next to a stranger in the movie theater.

Nice. I've been wanting to do it for the past 12 years or so, but hasn't panned out yet. One of these days...
