The two dogs I have were dumped off near my place.
One is completely housebroken, doesn't mess with anything that doesn't belong to her and is great with small kids. When I point my finger at her and say bang bang, she rolls over onto her back with her paws up in the air.

The other one I picked up Friday was dumped on a back road to town and when I stopped, she came up to the truck and jumped right in. She barked a couple times outside my bedroom window and quit when I told her to shut up and go to bed.

I have 2 hens I raised from day olds. They are brown egg layers. Two roosters I trapped and for now, 18 rabbits and multiplying. Those aren't pets but, I respect them and don't mistreat them. They aren't penned. They have their own yard. When it's time to make meat out of the rabbits, I kill them as quickly and painlessly as possible and thank them for providing me with nourishment.

Hmm, lets see, next weekend, I've got several critters with birthdays.

Shadow, my black lab mix will be 11, and I've had her 10 years. She was dumped at the house, and ended up keeping her.

Rocky, my black pot-belly pig with be 13, and I've had him since he was 8 months old. He was dumped at 6 months old, and attacked by 4 Shepherds, rescued, saved at the vets, and a friend who uses that vet brought him to us after he had healed. He's amazingly tolerant of dogs, all things considered. It's one of the reasons I'm so protective of my animals and will shoot and kill the dogs that get in on the property.

Mandrake, my pink pot-belly pig will be 2. Some folks brought her and some chickens over because they moved back in to the city.

Woody, the goat, will turn 1. He's bigger then his mama, and I have hopes he'll get as big as Jerry and Zach.

My three black Spanish turkeys, Condor, Vulture and Nepthys, will be 2 as well. Dracas, the white giant, turned 1 back in February.

Yes, everyone has birthdays listed, it's how I track their age for records, my own and the vets. If I don't have an exact date, I toss them in as close as possible to the month. I'm seriously pissed that the lady didn't have the decency to get back with me about Gentry for his actual date of birth, but I guess she didn't care after she got rid of him. I know he'll be 2 in June, so I put him down for June 13th, which is the Feast of Epona, the Celtic Horse Goddess.

Always welcome, though be careful of your blow up doll. The goats have horns and like to pop things.

I have four cats and they are my family fur babies, Raven I have had her for at least four years, I got her two months after I lost the joy of my life my fur baby stormy that I had to put her to sleep when the vet said she had stomach cancer she is at rainbow bridge now, I also have Frisky, he is the oldest of my cat about nine years, and I have Missy she is about three years old and my little Timoan he is two years old and I rescued him after he was abused when he was a kitten I managed to tame him down, I couldn't imagine my life without my cats they are everything to me.
