I asked this a while ago....and I'll ask again.

Has anyone noticed that OUR society is the only one in the history of the world to try normalizing homosexuality??

For thousands upon thousands of years, homosexuality was considered something abnormal. By many, it still is.

Is normalizing that behavior supposed to make us more ' enlightened '??

Now...before anyone starts ranting about me being a raging homophobe I would like to point out that my half brother is gay. I love him to death, and I don't consider him to be some kind of freak.

I am simply making an observation and asking a question.

Gay relationships are as normal as hetero relationships, that is where the problem comes in at.

They should be considered the same because they are the same.

The majority of the people in this country would dispute that thought.

Only because they have been taught by ignorants to believe otherwise.

Ah....so the vast majority of people in this country are simply " ignorant " ( your word ) while you and others like you are so much more " enlightened "??

Guess what. The folks that you are calling ignorant are pretty sure that YOU are the ignorant one.

See how that works??

Have you told your brother how you feel about this? Do you tell him his homosexual relationships are not "normal" like heterosexual relationships?

Only because they believe ignorants. It is too bad too.

Again so much intelligence just laying around and some folks run from it.

Not sure I see how she's being ignorant. You're saying that because she feels others are ignorant, it makes her ignorant as well?

Nice try...but no.

Take another look at what I said.

At NO point did I say that I, personally, consider her ignorant.

Look again and READ what I said this time around.

Oh. By the way.

You wouldn't] see ignorance in her comment because you AGREE with her.

So, you're speaking for others in saying that they would think she's ignorant.

Nice dodge.

It's ok for her to speak for THEM in saying that they are " ignorant "...but when I point out they probably feel the same way about her, you call it into question.

Come on. You are better than that.

Form your argument.

I am not the ignorant in this subject by a long shot.

I know that all humans deserve to be treated equally and that includes different races, sexual orientation, body size, economic background, etc...

I could not care who is ignorant enough to believe otherwise. They will be ignorant until they grow a brain.

Of course. You are so much SMARTER than they are.

Those folks out there with PhDs that don't agree with you don't count at all.

Except that they don't have a brain.

Whatever....lmao

I'm glad yer back. I haven't laughed this hard all week.

You seem like you're just trying to argue. I thought you were better than that. She's speaking for herself in the way she feels they are. You, however, are speaking for them in the way they feel about her. Very different.

Yeah, I just don't and won't understand those who think it's ok to treat someone differently because of race, sexual orientation or anything else you've listed.

THANK YOU! We need more human beings that think like this! why are there so many, "its different!! lets kill it or ruin its life!"

Its a shame today's society cant see love is love and have to ruin the benefits of two people just because of a difference in orientation, which cant be helped. People are people! Equality for all humans as they are.

Ok. I just wanted to make sure that you knew I was playing Devil's Advocate on this subject.flowerforyou

Like I said, it really doesn't matter much to me whether or not they can get married.

It won't effect my life either way.
