None of the above. hybrid tech is not better. The net energy returns are not as good under load as unloaded. If anything hybrids are more expensive, more complicated, and more product intensive to make not to mention HEAVIER!

IMO, go Prius or wait for (help) Tesla Motors take off. There's also apparently a magnetic motor being developed by Perendev:
