IMHO romance is when you start finding out what your significant other
likes and keep learning...there's no real end to it, it's like a martial
art, part skill, part memory and partly knowing when to duck when it
goes awry.

JJ, I may have mis-posted here. I guess it boils down to your definiton
of romance. For me, romance is going to a movie and the tingle that runs
up your back when you hold hands for the first time; waking up in the
morning with the sun shining in through the window, while you hold each
other falling in and out of sleep listening to the birds singing, or
anything along those lines. Rebuilding the 396 in your restored 69
Chevelle or building a waterfall in your backyard (see my pics- hee hee)
are things I do, like the rose petals in the tub, because I care. Not
looking to get lucky as a result of doing those things. Just doing them
because I care. That being said if "lucky" were to be offered. my wrench
would be lobbed in the general direction of my tool box as I followed
you like a man determined.... your Jeep can wait cuz I got a Peterbilt.

I always thought of myself as a romantic, doing little things like
putting a note in my hubsands lunch box, trying to wear the things he
liked, had plans made to spend an evening with him, no kids, candles
ready to go, his favorite meal and then was told that it was stupid, and
not to do it anymore and that now that we had kids we weren't to go out
alone anymore. So I gave up.

deactivation is only the 1st step to reactivation
for every deactivation there is an equal and opposite reactivation

I enjoy being romantic to my woman. Want her to know, she is appreciated
at every level. Not done for the benefits, but oooohhh what benefits.

thanks for the hug Slow, someday I hope to meet someone who would enjoy
the little things, and love romance........hey for those you need some
ideas gave this one to a friend of mine, now him and his wife use this
idea at least once a month, it put the zing back into their marriage

He rented a motel room, set the candles up, turned on the radio to a
station that they both enjoyed, had wine chilling in a bucket of ice,
spread out some rose petals on the floor, and bed....and at that point I
said I need to know no more just glad the idea worked.
