Meh.

Good special effects, great music. Overhyped and only thinly related to the original myth (by names, and the attempted sacrifice), but adding in a bunch of other unrelated stuff.

I'm glad I paid for the 2D, rather then the 3D version.

I was a tad disappointed.

I'd have less problems if the movie studios made original movies, instead of linking them to previous movies and then essentially having nothing to do with it, besides particular names.

Basically, don't even bother to compare it the the original. In any way shape or form. If they'd have used a different titel, I would probably have enjoyed it better.

I was excited to see it because I recall liking the original. However, I heard that the mythology was inaccurate. That's kind of disappointing, so I don't think I'll see it.

I want to see it because I loved the original movie. I hope they didn't mess up Medusa or the Kraken.

Nooooo! The metal owl was so awesome! Even though it didn't do anything in the first one. Then again, I have not watched the first one in years. I just remember the claymation Medusa scaring me as a kid.

this Medusa was awesome... I haven't seen the original in a few years.. Can't wait to watch it again...

Medusa was cool, Kraken too, though not in it nearly long enough. What IndnPrncs said about the owl.

And they totally weirded out with the mythology related to it. Pissed me off, there. The only thing the same was some of the names. They tossed in a whole other cluster of Gods that weren't part of the original, and tossed in a few unrelated to the Greek myths. The Djinn come to mind.

And don't get me wrong, while Friesian horses are gorgeous, Pegasus was white, not black. (We won't get into the whole Dutch horses vs Greek horses...)

I thought it was pretty good. I remeber the original fondly, but i knew it was not going to be a sceen for sceen remake. It was a nice retelling with a twist.

The film itself was great, but I don't think Sam Worthington was right for the role of Perseus as I kept seeing him as his TErminator 4 character although they were originally going to use Channing Tatum, the guy from Step Up etc.!

He wasn't right for the role but man is he HAWT...

i went and saw it thursday...thought it was a great movie...the real d wasnt as great because it didnt look like it was made especially for real d like avitar. but in the end it was still a great movie!
