 Went to the local garden show Saturday. Came home with 14 fruit trees. 4 plums, 4 peaches, 3 apples, 3 pears, all different types. Yum! I'll probably hate digging the holes, but it will be nice to get fruit off them in a year or two, well, except for the pears.

Also came home with 12 lobotermia, or something like that. Purple bush with pink flowers. The dang bottlebrush died this year, and the other purple ones made it, so I am putting these in for the "fence" for the courtyard.

Next weekend, time to clean out the greenhouse and get some stuff growing.

I am thinking about buying a cherry tree for my yard. I'm kinda limited on where I can plant it, but I think I have a good place for it.

Coolies.

I've been hunting for a fruiting mulberry tree, but apparently, they aren't very common down here. tears

I like the pear tree. Nice and easy to plant and I love the fruit that comes. Anyone know what the down side is to a Japanese cherry blossom. Doesn't it grow here even?

I actually have one at the front of my house. If I could figure a way to transport it and have it survive, I send ya a couple of shoots....lol

We had one up in Michigan. Used to sit outside and munch away. Absolutely delicious.

Of course, the one time I sat on the grass I had CPS called because they thought my parents were beating me black and blue.

But those mulberries were yummy!

Once you've packed this in a sand filled baggie you can ship it in a small priority shipping box. My son used to buy plants all the time off ebay. The link above will tell you how to cut the stems for re-rooting.

What zone do you fall under?

That usually gives a good overview of what will and won't work for your area.
