do you guys believe in this why or why not?

i used to think its crap i never believed in it till i met this one girl on here two totallly difrrent lifestyles she partyed alot i stayed away from that stuff she had done drugs i hate drugs just diffrent stuff like that.

opposites may attract, similarities endure. IMO we find fascination in that which is unlike us, but unless it's something we want to become, we lose interest, or worse, grow resentful.

Magnetic oppisites... Yes.


Oppisite personalities... No.

I think it depends upon which areas...if its in values , than no. If its in activities or tastes,, its possible

For example, someone who is christian would probably not have a NATURAL emotional attraction to someone who was atheist. ..Someone who put family first would probably not have a natural emotional attraction to someone who didnt give a damn about family,,etc,,,

on the other hand,,,someone who is feminine may be attracted to someone who is masculine,,,,someone who is soft spoken may be attracted to someone who is out spoken,,,these types of situations are a matter of each COMPLEMENTING the other or one being strong where the other isnt .....

I don't believe in it myself.nMy idea of exercising is doing a hard workout and his is waddling to the fridge for a beer. That is pretty damn opposite and just doesn't work for me.

In my case, yes they do. I am so not like anyone else on this planet that for a woman to get with me means she will be my opposite.

Just be careful, these things are usually just an infatuation. Don’t get in too deep. Next thing you know you’ve knocked her up and you’re trapped for life in an utterly miserable situation.

It's fun for a while, but then the stuff that was once kind of amusing, or sort of exciting, or just plain different starts becoming annoying, or unnerving or just plain odd. Little differences are nice, major differences have only caused problems for me.

like most people said..at the beginning, it is fun...innovative really, lots of great new ideas..most of us are creatures that enjoy learning new things....later on however....down the road...when important decisions need to be made...if two people are so different from each other...those decisions will not be made..the process will not be fun..and usually, things will end in separation or divorce..

Opposite often attract, but they don't always mix well. As has been suggested it depends on what things you are opposite on and just how many things there are, and how important those things are and and and. But opposites CAN work.

good point, just HOW opposite makes a difference. Noone is perfect and some things are not major enough to be deal breakers ( I like peanut butter and he likes jelly type of things). People have to find SOME common ground to work though,, usually in the area of values, their attitudes toward relationships and family, and hygiene.

My exhusband believed in trying to control me and i don't believe in controlling anyone.He believed in using me for a punching bag.I don't believe in hitting.He believed in putting me down every chance he could.I don't put ppl down.Needless to say it didn't work.
