Topic: ~soft,spicy ginger cookies

2 cups white flour
1 cup sugar
3/4 cup softened butter
1/3 cup molasses
3 tablespoons of milk
1 egg
1/2 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp ginger
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp cloves
sugar for rolling

1)combine flour,1 cup sugar,butter,molasses,milk,egg,b soda,ginger,cinnamon,cloves in large bowl.Beat at low speed with electric mixer til well blended..it will be thick.Cover...refridgerate for four hours or overnight...the four hours works out fine...

2)preheat oven to 350 degrees.Shape into one inch balls...roll in sugar...place on ungreased cookie sheet,press with fork....two inches apart..bake tenmintues.....cool on wire racks.....

new recipe to me..made them last night...scent of ginger-spice still lingers in the air....they are gooooood.

Ginger is my absolute favorite spice to cook with! Another cookie that makes your home smell really good when you cook'em are snickerdoodles.
