Miss one then had one the next month, missed another and another..and no more ever so far for 5yrs. I'll take the hotflashes instead.LOL

A trip to the Gyne M.D. could be of more help than she realizes. If it is menopause, there are blood tests that will tell her if she is still capable of becoming pregnant. It may no longer be a concern for her. Gotta tell you, that was a 'freeing' moment for me. To no longer have to be concerned about an unplanned pregnancy was small relief for me as it came at the end of my marriage. In an exclusive, monogamous relationship, that relief would be a pleasure! when i was 32 i had to go to the doc... waking up all wet soaked! like 4 times a week for about a yr.. unfortunately some things still haven't ended at nearly 47! however the sweats pretty much have.. the doc told me that is what it was.. i just don't know. till about 5 yrs ago they went in the mid day too.. sometimes.. not much anymore hope it doesn't start up again lol! damn it i did my time!

I can relate to this. I believe most doctors don't know what to do with the leading up to menopause. I believe the leading up to menopause is paramenopause. Doctors will hand out antipshychotics because of the symptoms which exasperates the problems. During the paramenopausal stage, which can last for years, the period can be anywhere from 2 weeks to months apart. Some drugs can also prematurely send a woman into this cycle. Just saying.....

Just saying..... wow! he is serious! and soooo true everyone is so different from what i hear..that i think a doc could have a hard time really telling if that is the issue or something else is..
