pigs r very clever animals. let me tell you the story of pigs that lived in my backyard in cali.
one night it was late, and i lived in a little town of Huson, right outside of Modesto. i worked for 4-h, but knew squat about pigs.
these were large durocs, the size of elephants. their favorite thing 2 do was escape from their pens, and wallow in the mud.
it must have been very late, for i came home trotted up my steps which were very metallic in sound, and scared the bejesus out of 2 large girls that were buried deep in dark mud so i could not see them.
i hit the step and that is when the squeeling began. they came out of their mud fast oinking but no boinking. they were sleeping and i skeered them good.
but they got me good as one came up the stairs after me. i was young and could take 3 steps at a time w/no problemo. not true now, but then yes.
this one pig had it in for me. u c, previous to that, i stole one of her babies, and up the truck she ran, right behind me full boar. get that "full boar". that is how u load a pig in a truck. BTW, and then, once u c her eyes gleam on the tailgate u jump over the side, cause she is going to eat u. well this momma pig on the stairs that night remembered our previous encounter and she was still mad.
she missed me by the hair on my chinny chin chin monkey butt.
