I bet you didn't post crap like this for the past 8 years when Democrats did this to the Republican Majority or President Bush, but let me remind you that is happened far more often then. |

in the olden days of the Senate and House, there was a dueling ground out behind the Capitol building for settling differences. Physical fights were not uncommon and there were several cases of Senators striking each other with their canes
it's not that bad these days |

My cousin is a born again Christian and so is her 24 yr. daughter. They are very much anti-abortion. The daughter got raped and pregnant and kept the baby. They voted for Obama. You don't vote for a man that you think is bad for the country just because he is anti-abortion. I know many anti-abortion people that are Democrats. I also know pro-choice people that are Republicans. They look at all of the issues - not just one. |

They look at all of the issues - not just one. thats it in a nutshell,, Bush had some 'moral' philosophies I agreed with,, but none which he could do anything about when it comes down to it,,,,I voted on his record of 'accomplishment' and where he stood on issues like the economy, education, health , trade,,,etc,,,, I cant think of an issue, besides something like what happened when so many americans were labeled 'traitor' or 'communist' and blacklisted,,,,,which would make me IGNORE every other issue or which would stand alone to supercede every other issue,,,,but thats just me for the record, I am a pro life, anti abortion, anti deathpenalty, anti war,,,Democrat |

So what!
He said what he felt about the bill, he apologized to Stupak and his colleagues for the manner in which he expressed his disappointment about the bill. And also said the timing and tone of his comment last night was inappropriate. So now why not just drop it like what happens when a liberal "misspeaks" they apologize and all is forgivin. This seems kind of petty considering what is going on with healthcare. |

Democratic Senator Bob Casey has always been a staunch pro-lifer, BTW. -Kerry O. |

this christian thinks that its more than enough to apologize for a lack of class, as long as effort is made not to continue with no class,,,
this christian also feels that bills are neither christian nor unchristian, just attitudes towards our neighbors I am sure plenty of CHRISTIANS support abortion on the belief that life in the womb is not significant life just as many support death penalty because of the old testament eye for an eye theory and many will oppose healthcare reform becuase of the 'Bible of the Land" ,,the constitution ,,,,none of them are any more or less christian than anyone else,, we just have different points of view |

I worded it wrong. I do feel that the Christian thing to do is to help others in need though. That includes health care. |

I agree, and (forgive me here, but I was raised to try to understand the debate for both sides of a situation) I am sure many would say that help should be voluntary and not forced..... its like jennifer aniston in the break up to her boyfriend "I want you to do the dishes sometimes" and then he says "Fine, just tell me when and I will do them" to which she replies "I dont want to have to tell you, I want you to want to do them" Im one of those christians who wishes everyone would WANT to do whats right and fair, whether it will be mandated is another issue though |
