How secure is it?

|

I think it is most secure and it's what I use as recommended by my
computer adviser..he's said it the best |

GREAT
the pop-up settings are great. I think it's actually better than Internet Explorer, which got me a HUGE FAT virus |
|
|
|
I use it but I have a Mac anyway...

None of the major browsers are perfect, but I have far more faith in the
responsiveness of the Firefox people then I do microsoft. |

and if you add stopscript, you're even safer.
i adore firefox, my computer is much cleaner than when i had IE. and for the very few pages that won't open with firefox, you can choose to automatically have IE open them. |

I only use IE for the very few pages that don't open in ff... other than
that, I like it. as far as more secure...I think FF does help prevent user error a little more than IE does...beyond that...tough to say. |

microsoft is the evil empire
but hey what do i know |

I LOVE FF. Only time I ever use IE is when checking my e-mail. Cause it
just automatically opens. |

I find it much much better then IE,
it has plugins and security is great. |

Firefox rocks. I love it alot better than I ever did IE. There are just
alot of extras that FF has. Also with all of the FF plugins I haven't found a page that it won't open yet. |

Firefox is better than Explorer
|

I mainly just use Firefox. I added the IE extension to it so that I can open certain sites in an IE tab while still using Firefox.

It's not as secure as we'd all like to think. Try running Firefox for a month, and run your favorite spyware/adware program.
Now run Internet Explorer for a month, and do the same. If you pretty much did all the same things, you'll notice that Firefox only blocks more tracking cookies than IE does. The new IE is more secure than it was in the past. That doesn't mean however, that Firefox is less secure, it just means that IE has caught up a bit (it's a good thing for us all). I suspect, as time goes on, the new IE will become more vulnerable again, since more users use IE. Just stick with Firefox, it works great, and for the most part, is more secure than IE...if only a little bit. |
