More than once I've tried to email someone in response to their forum
postings (not trying to 'hook up' with them) and could not because of
their email filters.

I think the filters are great for those that are only here for dating.
But if you are here for friends also, please think about the consequence
of using filters.

one is interested in you. Im sure someone will come up soon, u cant ask
for something and get it the next day, u gotta wait alittle and surely

The point is get to know EVERYBODy on this site thats wants to know ya,
you cnanever have too many friends!!!!! And i know a few women that
prefer to date older men cause we kmow how to treat ladies right, not
that younger guys dont but when u are older I think u are more settled
in life just cause weve been there, sone that!

were a 51 year old man. if i see a pretty girl I'm gonna flirt with her
, or wanna chat, just someone to talk to for awhile. you know who wants
to chat with me?, 300 lb. naked women with no teeth . i at least have
the decency to talk to them for awhile. i probably have 12-15 ladies on
my favorite list, i've written to about half of them . No response ,
don't say your an old fart , go away, KMA, leave me alone , nothing!You
don't know how that makes a man feel. so, the next time some old guy
wants to chat , take the time out for a short convo, you just might make

it is not easy to find someone sometimes but at least forums like this
exist to allow for meeting a wide range of people in a fairly simple and
efficient way.

so, imho, forums like these are one of the most efficient and
non-judgemental ways of meeting new people and if you stick with it
you'll meet some *really* great ones. just try to have fun doing it.

ok, true, i'm looking for someone closer to my age, but i think having
friends that are older or younger than you is a learning experience.

Folks today want things right now. Nothing good happens quick, takes
planning & work. The more restrictions set the harder to reach your
goal. Your sig. other might be an older man, by blocking them out,
you'll never know. Judging books by their covers. Never know what you
missed.

I have age standards, but enjoy talking to all.

Again, I may be new here, but I am not new to the sites in general. I
think many of ya'll took my "vent" way out of context. I am absolutely
interested in making new friends, but I would also like to meet a great
guy close to my age, or maybe a few ;) Thanks for all the advice, I
just really needed to vent!
